Through out the summer in Alonissos, there is a local bus from Patitiri to the Old Town and the settlement of Steni-Vala.

At The Port there are lots of small boats or caiques that provide various excursions along the coast of the island.

For those who prefers independency will be able to hire, mountain bikes, motorbikes, cars, as well as small boats from the Travel Agencies at the harbor.

Finally for the walkers, Alonissos has a variety of   landscape and many possibilities to experience nature.                               

Moving with your boat:

The harbor of Patitiri is the main station to replenish your own boats with water, food, ice, fuel, or to find mechanics, the Post Office or the Custom Office.

The inhabitant bays of Votsi and Steni-Vala are safe places to anchor your small or medium size boat.

In Steni-Vala someone can also find ice, drinkable water and a couple of groceries stores.

Many coast are safe to spend the night. As well as the bays Vasilikos and Peristera on the little island across from Alonissos.

On the deserted islands in the Marine Park the safest places to stop would be Planitis on the North site of Kyra-Panagia Island, which is one of the safest natural harbors in the Aegean, and the Bay of Agios Petros on the Southwest Coast.

For the Captains of the boats we note:

• It is forbidden to come any closer than 3 n.m. to the island of Piperi, which is the center of the Marine Park.
• Please get well informed for the present rules that applied to the Marine Park from the Coast Police and the information center at Patitiri.
• Please respect the remarks of the Coastal Police and the surveillance boats.
• Do not pollute in any way the sea or the coasts.
• You can communicate with the Portal Police of Alonissos on the channel 12 of your V.H.F.
• The local fishing boats usually use channel 9 of the V.H.F.
• To communicate with Hellas radio please use channel 16.
• If you get aware of any disaster such as sea pollution, fire e.g. please notifies the local authorities immediately.
